Shredding for Scholarships

We had a great day at the Deltona City-Wide Flea Market organized by Springfest, at the Deltona Plaza at 1200 Deltona Blvd. on Saturday, April 20th.
Alligator Shredding and volunteersOur turn-out of supporters bringing documents to be shredded was outstanding!  We earned $600 for our annual scholarship program.
We are so grateful to Alligator Shredding  for their continued sponsorship of our primary Scholarship fundraiser.  This makes five years we have been partnering with them.  If you need a shredding service, they offer secure shredding for both business and home- you can actually watch those documents be shredded inside the truck !!! Click on the photo to visit their web site and tell them, we sent you !!!
A very special thank you to Bruce and Marsha of Alligator Shredding who provided their services at no charge  and our volunteers, John Enyart, Arline Moss, Anne Alderman, Marilyn and Steve Wenman.

Turquoise, the Women Build Mascot

One of the delays in getting the 1665 19th St. Women Build project started was the fact that an endangered gopher tortoise burrow was found smack in the middle of the lot!!!  Before we could obtain permits, we had to relocate her out of the way of all the building activity.  So, Friday, April 4, became moving day for Turquoise the tortoise....
